PASTOR RICK WARREN: WHAT BILLY GRAHAM TAUGHT ME ABOUT LASTING IN MINISTRY & ENDING WELL

(The day Billy died, I ended up spending the entire day answering a dozen media interview requests about his impact on my life. At the end of the day, I wrote this below. The photo is from one of my many trips to my mentor’s home over the years.)

Billy Graham was the most influential Christian leader of the 20th century. He preached in person to more people than anyone else in history- over 215 million. With a global ministry that spanned 60 years, only Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa would be as well known around the world.

Billy’s message was simple and clear, and it never varied: No matter who you are or what you’ve done God has never stopped loving you and he has a good plan and purpose for your life Because none of us are perfect, we all need a Savior to in order to have our sins forgiven, understand our purpose for living, and gain a home in heaven. That’s why God sent Jesus to die for our sins. God’s offer of forgiveness and freedom is available to anyone who humbly repents and accepts the grace of God through Jesus, regardless of your ethnic or religious background.
WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE Pastor Rick Warren: Lasting in Ministry
Growing up in a Baptist home, Billy Graham was our pope. I read my first Billy Graham book, Peace with God when I was in the 6th grade. When I was 16, I felt called by God to serve in ministry and I began preaching in churches and crusades on the West Coast each weekend while still in high school, so Billy was my hero and model. My grandmother was quite a woman of prayer so when I began preaching as a teenager, she would often tell me “The two people I pray for every day are Billy Graham and you.”

Then, in 1971, when I was 17, I heard Billy speak in person at the Oakland, California Crusade. I still remember thrill of it. 3 years later, at the 1974 Los Angeles Crusade, I met Billy for the first time when I was 20 years old. By that time, I had preached over 120 youth crusades and Billy somehow heard about my young evangelistic efforts and he took an interest in me. That began a mentoring relationship that stretched over the next 40 years. It would be hard to overestimate Billy Graham’s impact on my own life and ministry, on Saddleback church, and the Purpose Driven network around the world.

As a mentor, Billy taught me different things at different stages of my life, As a teenager, he was my model for preaching and inviting people to faith in Jesus. But in my 20s, it was Billy’s personal character – his integrity, humility, and generosity – that profoundly influenced me.

Then, in my 30s, I began to see and appreciate how strategic Billy was in how he organized his ministry, how he innovated, how he used new technologies, and how he strategically built relational bridges to different groups

Finally, in my 50s, Billy taught me about how to be a statesman in international settings, and how to work with governments without being co-opted by any political group. He even taught me the danger of signing public statements.

I could easily write a book about all the ways Billy Graham shaped my life and approach to ministry. He taught me many lessons through conversations and correspondence but I also caught many lessons simply by watching his private habits, his public manners, how he answered questions, how he led meetings, and especially how he related to people with different beliefs, lifestyles, and cultures. Billy led a life worth studying.

It was never my goal to copy his calling, but to learn his character. God called Billy to be an evangelist, traveling the world to witness to unbelievers, while God called me to plant and pastor a single congregation for life. Most of my global travel has been to train other pastors, and lead our P.E.A.C.E. plan. Still, many of the skills and convictions needed in both callings are the same.

The Bible tells us to “Ask the former generation. Pay attention to the experience of our ancestors. For we were born but yesterday and know so little. But those who came before us will teach you. They will teach you from the wisdom of former generations.” Job 8:8-10 (NLT)

Anyone who has completely 60 years ministry without any moral failure or scandal should be studied. Many people start off well but they don’t end well. How was Billy Graham able to finish well? Of course, Billy built his life and ministry on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word. He preached God’s truth not human opinion. But he made many other smart choices. Let me just mention four:

1. TO LAST IN MINISTRY AND FINISH WELL, BUILD YOUR LIFE ON INTEGRITY, HUMILITY AND GENEROSITY.

It is character, not talent, that you need to make it to the finish line. I have a framed newspaper headline from 25 years ago in my office that says “Billy Graham Turns 75 With His Integrity Intact.” I framed it because, to me, that is a definition of true success and finishing well. Billy finished well because of his character. He lived with humility, integrity and generosity, which are the antidotes to the 3 most common traps of leadership pride, sex, and money.

Billy modeled humility. He never forgot his farm boy roots, his small town values, and the fact that everything he had was a gift from God. Humble people are gracious people and Billy was always gracious to everyone. Great people make other people feel great, while little people belittle people, Billy taught me to ignore both the flatterers and the attackers- the cheers and the jeers from the sidelines, and instead focus on finishing the race God has called you to run.

Billy modeled that personal integrity is a daily choice. He established clear moral and financial boundaries around his life and ministry that I unashamedly copied. Our Saddleback Staff 10 Moral Guidelines are based on same boundaries Billy set up with his team We’ve used them for nearly 40 years.

Billy modeled generosity. The list of other ministries and causes that Billy funded is quite long and wide.

2. TO LAST IN MINISTRY AND FINISH WELL, BE A BRIDGE-BUILDER, NOT A WALL-BUILDER. BE A UNIFIER, NOT A DIVIDER.

In the 1950 & 60s Billy insisted that all his crusades be integrated. In some southern cities in America, the Graham crusades were the first public events to be racially integrated. But Billy also insisted that his crusades be religiously integrated. He put Catholics and Protestants, Calvinists and Charismatics, Fundamentalist and Evangelicals, Liberals and Conservatives, all on the platform together. He was criticized for it, but he knew that God blesses unity and harmony.

By not getting involved in partisan fights, Billy was able to minister to all kinds of politicians and to both sides of the aisle. By staying out of denominational fights and competition, he was able to serve every denomination. Billy Graham was loved by the whole world because he loved the whole world! He was gracious Christian statesman.

Billy was always more interested in the eternity of nonbelievers than in the favor of narrow-minded believers who didn’t want him associating with “unholy” groups of people. But as an evangelist, you spend most of your time talking with people who don’t believe or live as you do.

Billy taught me that to reach people without Christ, you must sometimes ignore religious and political divisions. To be a bridge-builder you must walk across the line. When Billy accepted invitations to preach in Russia, North Korea, and other countries that were led by Communists, he was ruthlessly criticized by people who considered politics more important than the gospel. Critics said “They will use you as a pawn of their propaganda” but I happen to know that Billy’s attitude was that while that might happen, he would use them to get the gospel out, and the gospel of Christ’s love is far more powerful than any political paradigm.

I have been attacked and misunderstood for accepting invitations to speak to groups of Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, LGBTQ, secular liberals, and fundamentalist Christians. But I am called by God to share the Good News where ever I can, and you cannot bring your enemies to Christ, only your friends.

Before you can help others trust Jesus, they must trust you. Before they accept that the Bible is credible, they want to know are you credible? To be used by God as a bridge-builder for the Gospel you must be willing to be unpopular with those who only want to build walls. Billy taught me that we must take the gospel wherever we can, even if that means being misunderstood, or criticized, or accused of guilt by association.

3. TO LAST IN MINISTRY AND FINISH WELL, BE AN ENCOURAGER, NOT A CRITIC.

Everybody needs encouragement, and there were times in my ministry that Billy’s encouragement came at just the moment I need it.

Some of the most valuable possessions I own are the letters and personal notes that Billy wrote to encourage me over the years. One note he sent me was after he watched the first time I was interviewed on a Larry King Show. His words of encouragement are framed on a wall in my office between letters from Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa. I’m sure there are many others who received similar notes because it was Billy’s nature to encourage others in ministry.

Another time, Billy asked me to fly to his home give him an update on our Purpose Driven Global P.E.A.C.E. plan in 197 nations, His praise was effusive hyperbole but it encouraged me. After sharing a 2 hour report Billy said with tears in his eyes ” Rick, this is the greatest vision I’ve ever heard. I just wish I was around long enough to see it happen!” That was trademark Graham encouragement and it filled my eyes with tears too,

4. TO LAST IN MINISTRY AND FINISH WELL, SHARE YOUR PLATFORM WITH THE NEXT GENERATION.

We must take the long view, realizing that our ministries are just one brief phase of a long line of servants of God. Many have served God before us, and many will serve after we’re gone. Part of each generation’s responsibility is to set up the next generation for effectiveness. I watched Billy do this over and over, not only with me, but with many others.

While in college, I wrote my first book called Warren’s Bible Study Methods. Billy got a copy of it, and in the early 80s, when he organized his Global Congress for Evangelists – a 10 day training conference in AMSTERDAM, Billy called me up and said “Rick, I want you to come teach 13,000 evangelists from 190 nations how to study the Bible for themselves. He bought my book in 17 languages and gave a free copy to all 13,000 attenders.

At that time I was only in my 20s and I had very little confidence in my writing ability, but when Billy shared his platform with me, I thought, “Well, If Billy thinks my writing is good enough to give to all these leaders, maybe I should keep writing!” The Purpose Driven Life might have never been written if Billy Graham has not believed in me. So now, I am always looking for ways to encourage and share my platform with young writers and pastors.

Decades later, when I was invited to pray the invocation at the start of President George Bush’s inauguration week, and then again 4 years later at President Obama’s inauguration, Billy’s private advice was invaluable. He even gave me his hat that he wore when he prayed at previous inaugurations. He mailed it to me as a surprise along with warm personal note that said “Rick, It’s your time now. I believe in you! Wear the hat! Love, Billy” So I did.

People often ask “Who will be the next Billy Graham?” and my answer is always the same: There will never be e a replacement! Not only is Billy irreplaceable but the world has changed dramatically. In each generation God raises up new women and men to do his will in new ways , My life verse us Acts 13:36 but I think it is also a great description of Billy Graham’s life and ministry. Speaking of King David, it says, “David served God’s purpose in his generation, and then he died.” To me, this is finest definition of a successful life: serving God’s purpose (that what is timeless) in your generation,(in a timely way)” To do what is permanent and unchanging in a world that is constantly changing is the highest use of life. and it is the only thing that will last forever.

As we celebrate the life and legacy of this giant of faith, I urge you to get to know the Jesus Christ that Billy spoke of for over 60 years and then I urge you to commit to “serving God’s purpose in your generation” just as Billy did.

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE Jerusalem Chosen By God

Jerusalem Chosen By God

By Gideon in All of God, Blog on May 4, 2018

I found this article online and I think it’s worth sharing with you as the church is preparing for the Rapture of saints !

“UN are hypocrites, loyal to lslam, I don’t need their approval to do the right thing-Trump”

Donald J. Trump speaks to Media

President Trump in an interview by an American leading media made some speech regarding his declaration of Jerusalem as Israel capital.
He said:
My coming into power brought an end to the unofficial defeat of ISIL , the total annihilation of Islamic extremists in Syria which warranted the withdrawal of Russia troops by Putin. This were done just within a year after I was sworn in.
The UN was there witnessing the massacre of the Christians across the globe and did nothing, terrorism was on the rise and they(UN) did nothing.
But barely four days of my declaration of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the UN summoned a security summit within the shortest notice.
I have said it before and am saying it again that UN’s gathering is like a gathering of market women’ which after they’re done deliberating and decisions are made; it ends right there in Geneva.
The UN seat is filled with Muslims and people who are loyal to the Arabs, they are all hypocrites and cannot be trusted,Jerusalem declaration was long over due and they know it but they kept quiet .i do not need anybody’s permission to do what is right, Trump said.

WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT JERUSALEM ?
Making Sense Of All The Controversy
At the very heart of Bible prophecy is ISRAEL – and at the heart of Israel is JERUSALEM. God has made it abundantly clear in His Word that He has a covenant promise to the Jewish people and to their land. Not only did He promise to bring them back to their promised land, but He promised to restore their capital as it was from the beginning…
Zechariah 8:7-8
Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in THE MIDST OF JERUSALEM: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
In 1948, the “impossible” happened. Israel became a nation overnight. The Arab nations immediately attacked Israel to wipe it out. While outnumbered in every way, Israel won the war and actually gained more of their land. Yet Jerusalem was still under foreign control. During the Six Day War in June 1967, between Israel and the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, Israel not only conquered the Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Golan Heights, BUT ALSO REGAINED THE CITY OF JERUSALEM!
This was another amazing impossible event, but further proof that God’s Word will come to pass. And yet, the battle has not stopped. Hell is determined to make God a liar and is doing everything to destroy God’s plans for Jerusalem. Jerusalem has been attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times, besieged 23 times, and COMPLETELY DESTROYED TWICE. But God has a plan for Jerusalem, and it will come to pass

THE PROPHET ZECHARIAH HAD SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY ABOUT JERUSALEM…

Zechariah 12:2
“Behold, I will make JERUSALEM a CUP OF TREMBLING unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.”
THIS IS AN AMAZING PROPHECY!
God is going to make Jerusalem a cup of “reeling, staggering, shaking, intoxication” to all the people. In other words, people will act like they are drunken over this city, as they boast against it and threaten to fight it, even though they can’t even stand on their own. Have you ever tried to reason with someone who is drunk? They don’t think rationally, they see things from an intoxicated view.
Drunks have their “senses impaired” by the alcohol, dominated by an intense feeling; drunk with rage. And it’s as if most of the world has their “senses impaired”; because they can’t think rational about Jerusalem. They are “dominated by an intense feeling – drunk with rage” concerning Israel’s right to exist, and Jerusalem as its capital.
Their thinking is irrational, it’s just plain ridicules, it makes no sense at all. However, the world better sober up, because they are not merely fighting against a group of people; they are fighting against the Word of the Lord God! Read what else Zechariah’s prophecy says…
Zechariah 12:3
“And in that day will I make JERUSALEM a BURDENSOME STONE for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be CUT IN PIECES, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
God will make it a hard, difficult, tough, strenuous, exhausting stone for all people. All who try to move it will injure themselves with gashes and lacerations. The Lord is warning to not even mess with this city; it’s bigger than any drunk man or “strong man” could ever handle…

NOW, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS IN THE DAYS AND WEEKS TO COME!
But some may ask, why Jerusalem, John? What’s the big deal about Jerusalem. Well, that’s really quite simple. Jerusalem has so much importance to God and His plans for the entire world. And obviously, Hell doesn’t like that at all. Consider these facts about Jerusalem…
Jesus died for the sin of the world in Jerusalem
Jesus rose from the dead in Jerusalem!
Jesus ascended to heaven from Jerusalem!
The Holy Spirit was first poured out on believers in Jerusalem!
The birth of the Church was in Jerusalem!
The Gospel was first preached in Jerusalem!
The Antichrist will rule from Jerusalem!
Jesus will return back to Jerusalem!
The headquarters for the Kingdom of God on earth will be in Jerusalem
God truly loves Jerusalem!
And these are a few reasons why Satan hates Jerusalem!

JERUSALEM…CHOSEN BY GOD – NOT ARABS
Jerusalem Is Mentioned 814 Times In The Bible!
Jerusalem Is Not Once Mentioned In The Koran!
KING DAVID FOUNDED THE CITY OF JERUSALEM 1,600 YEARS BEFORE ISLAM WAS FOUNDED. Mohammad NEVER came to Jerusalem. Jews pray facing Jerusalem – while Muslims pray with their backs toward Jerusalem.
For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. Jerusalem has NEVER been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they NEVER even tried to make it their capital, nor did any Arab leaders come to visit it as such, because it wasn’t important to them.

ALSO, CONSIDER THIS: The Arabs are represented by 8 separate nations, yet there is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations have initiated all five wars against Israel with Israel defending itself each time and winning each time. Interestingly, the Arab refugees living in Israel never began identifying themselves as part of a “Palestinian people” until 1967, two full decades AFTER the establishment of the modern State of Israel Under control of the Arabs and Muslims, the city laid in complete ruins for centuries, yet when the Jews returned to their homeland, suddenly the Arabs wanted to make the city of Jerusalem an issue!

JERUSALEM…CHOSEN BY GOD – NOT ARABS
This is the ONE place in all of the world, that Jehovah God – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – has singled out and called “His Very Own”…so no wonder the controversy!
2 Chronicles 6:6
But I HAVE CHOSEN JERUSALEM, that My Name might be there; and have chosen David to be over My people Israel.
After Trump’s Recognition Of Jerusalem As Israel’s Capital, Pakistani Historian Mobarak Haidar Writes:
‘Muslims Of The World… Have No Religious Basis Rule Jerusalem’
After U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, on December 6, 2017, Mobarak Haidar (above), renowned Pakistani historian and author of multiple books, wrote the following on his Facebook page:[1]
“Jerusalem And Muslim Claims
“The Holy Koran spoke of Al-Aqsa Mosque when it was not a ‘mosque’ in the Islamic sense. It was a holy place because of the prophets of Israel, from Moses to Jesus. It was the holy spot of worship for Jews and Christians. Obviously, there were no Muslims in the city of Jerusalem till the era of Emir-ul-Momineen Umar ibn Khattab… The Prophet [Muhammad] and his followers prayed with their faces toward this Jewish-Christian holy temple because Kaaba (the present center of Islamic Hajj) was full of idols.

“After the ‘Conquest of Mecca,’ Muslims were told to turn their faces toward Kaaba and away from Jerusalem. They have never faced their loyalty toward Jerusalem after that, for the last 1,400 years. No Muslim ever went to pray in Jerusalem till it was conquered by the second caliph [Umar ibn Khattab], although there was no restriction on Muslims. They do not go there today because it was no longer their center.

“Christians were masters of Jerusalem before Muslims conquered it. It is still a holy place for Christians. But Christians have no dispute over ownership of the city. It is their religious right to visit the holy city; and the Jews do not stop them. Muslims, too, should have the same religious rights, and in fact they have those rights; Jews do not stop them. Muslims of the world, therefore, have no religious basis to rule Jerusalem. Most of the Muslims have never even wished to visit Jerusalem. As for the political claim, only Palestinians can make it and only they should negotiate.

“It cannot be a collective Muslim claim. Quraishi Arabs were masters of Jerusalem for some time. Then Mamluks, Muslim kings, took over. Turks came after them. Colonial Christians were the last political rulers. It is interesting to note that Iranian Muslims or Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent or Southeast Asia or of Africa have never been its masters. They can claim only spiritual ties.
“Active centers of Muslim faith are none other than the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina. Iranians have never controlled these active centers. But they are passionately building deadly weapons and jihadi forces to conquer or destroy Israel. It is sectarian politics of hegemony which can generate nothing but division and pain.”
This will interest you…..

LAST ENDTIME PROPHECY JUST GOT FULFILLED

If you are alive and reading this post and you haven’t made peace with God, you may wish to know that about the last of Jesus’ prophecies concerning the endtime has just been fulfilled.

With today’s decision by World Power, the US to officially recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital and further directive that its embassy be moved there from Tel Aviv, the next major event the world is about to witness is the RAPTURE!

This should interest all Christians and indeed all Bible students.

In 1948, God’s promise to gather and to restore scattered Israelites and bring them into their own land was fulfilled with the declaration and recognition of Israel as a sovereign nation, Ezekiel 34: 11-16.

But Jerusalem had remained in dispute till date. Though the US Congress voted in favour of the move 20 years ago, all US Presidents from Bill Clinton have blocked the move, until today.

Any follower of Endtime prophecies in the book of Daniel would agree that Donald Trump’s ascendency to the White House was something out of the ordinary.

Zechariah 12 reveals that at the time of the end, Jerusalem shall become the centre of world attention ‘with all the nations of the world joining forces to attack her,’ verse 4.

Today, that process has effectively, officially begun.

Fox News correspondent Shepherd Smith in reports strategically dubbed ‘Capital Controversy’ says that American embassies all over the world are already bracing for trouble, after that historic and stunning broadcast, today by President Trump.

“I have determined officially that it is time we recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Israel is a sovereign nation with the right to determine it’s own capital”, Trump said.

Barely a few minutes after the broadcast, more than 17 countries including Palestine, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, and the Hamas have signed up to vex Israel and Jerusalem with fierce reprisals and rage.

This should not surprise you.

Speaking on the signs of the endtime, Jesus said in Luke 21:20 ‘And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh,’ KJV.

Concerning the armies currently encamping round about Jerusalem, God told Zechariah in chapter 12: 3-9 that ‘when that times come, I will make Jerusalem like a heavy stone – any nation that tries to lift it will be hurt. At that time, I will terrify all their horses and make all their riders go mad … The surrounding nations shall be destroyed and the people of Jerusalem will remain safe in the city … At that time I will destroy every nation that tries to attack Jerusalem.”

Beloved, the only other yet to be fulfilled prophecy, that is probably holding back the rapture and the concomitant chain of events, is Jesus’ Words in Matthew 24:14.

In that verse of Scripture, Jesus said ‘And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.’

You may ask: how possible is it to reach 8 billion humans with the gospel.

Well, that’s almost already done – from Indonesia to Mongolia, people are already being reached with the message of salvation.

Prophet Daniel in chapter 12:4 inspired by God’s Holy Spirit foresaw that in the last
days, knowledge shall increase and give rise to amazing technologically innovations.

That prophecy was one of the earliest to user in the last days.

Today, ICTs, satellite communication and Internet-ready, hand-held digital personal digital assistants and gadgets take the gospel to every corner of the globe iBn real time, 247.

So there isn’t any tenable excuse,my dear friend.

If you have read this post or ever heard the message of salvation, that’s a Testimony.

RAPTURE IS NEARER THAN WE THOUGHT
. Make the decision today.

God bless you.

NOTE
Let the Words of SALVATION go freely out of your mouth.

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI MESSAGE TO THE CHURCHES

PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI MESSAGE TO THE CHURCHES

By Gideon in All of God, Blog on March 7, 2018

I slept around 10:20pm, not quite long after laying on the bed, I heard God calling Me Audibly So I Woke Up. When I Checked My Time, It Was 11:30P.M. Suddenly, I Felt The Urge To Pray So I Left The Bedroom To The sitting room & started Praying.
All Of A Sudden, My Eyes Opened And I Was In Another Realm. I Saw An Array Of Ladies Both Young And Old, Very Beautiful, Coming From The Sea Side. And I Asked God; Who Are These? And He Said, “These Are Marine Spirits That Have Been Commissioned By The Devil To Drag Many To The Kingdom Of Darkness. His Time Is Almost Up And He Has Vowed To Cause Many To Fall”. I Asked, Why Women? He Responded, “They Are Not Really Women But Are Evil Spirits That Have Taken A Feminine Form.”

So I Asked; What Is Their Mission And He Said, See! All Of A Sudden I Saw, People Having Sex. What Amazed Me Was That Some Were Having Sex By The Wayside, Some In Bushes, Some On Beaches, Some In Offices And In Open Places. So, I Asked Why? And He Said “These Are Sent To Spread Lust And Cause Many To Fall Into The Sin Of Fornication.” He Said, “Very Soon, Fornication Will Be Legalized.”

“The Spirits Are Meant To Befriend Many Young Ladies, Show Them Care And Eventually Initiate Them To Be Used By The Enemy.” I Saw Many Young Ladies. Unsuspecting Ladies Being Initiated And As Soon As They Were Initiated, They Had An Insatiable Desire For Sex.

I Also Saw Sugar Mummies Luring Young Men With Money And Cars. Right After Sleeping With Them, They Are Gone.

I Saw New Dresses Being Introduced. Dresses That Expose All Parts Of The Body. In Fact, I Saw A Very Fair Lady That Was Almost Naked. About 3 Quarter Of Her Breast Was Exposed And The Dress She Wore Was Very Transparent That One Could Virtually See Her Nakedness. Then I Saw Many People Buying These Dresses; Skimpy Short Skirts And Transparent Leggings And Blouses That Expose The Cleavage. Bleaching Of The Skin Was On The Rise. I Saw Them Pouring Potions On The Eye To Lure Men With Their Eyes.

“Tell The Church To Watch”, He Said. “They Will Try To Enter The Church, Target Pastors And Members, Especially From Choirs.” I Saw Members Of The Church Being Possessed And Sleeping With Each Other.

Amazingly,I Saw Two Ladies In A Particular Choir That Were Lesbians. Then I Saw Men Of God Sleeping With Members. Some Slept With Members Before They Mounted Pulpits.

I Saw That Pastors Are Battling Within Because There Is Not Just A Crack But An Opening On The Wall. Satan Has Entered Their Lives. Some Were Caught In The Web Of Pornography And Masturbation.
>>>>>>Also Read This: My Sons And Pornography
In Fact, I Saw A Particular Pastor Watching Pornography And Masturbating In His Room. To Him The Room Was Locked And He Thought No One Was Seeing Him But I Saw That The Wall To His Room Facing The Public Was Broken And People Were Watching Him Without His Knowledge. And God Said To Me, “Whatever Is Being Done In Secret Is Already Open.”

I Also Saw Women Becoming Unsubmissive And Disrespectful To Their Husbands And This Act Frustrated Husbands To Fall Prey To These Spirits When They Left Home.

I Saw Many Being Manipulated Through Food And Clothes. And I Saw Many Chains As Well. And He Said To Me, “These Are Chains Of Addiction That Has Kept Many People In Sexual Bondage.”

Some Women Were Showering Enchanted Gifts To Pastors And Were Gradually Changing Their Status.

“Tell My People To Stay Within The Boundaries Of My Word. Let Them Not Depart From Them. Tell Them To Watch And Pray. Let Them Be Focused On Me And This Will Help Them Avoid Every Distraction Of The Enemy.”

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE MY EXPERIENCE IN HELL

MY EXPERIENCE IN HELL

By Gideon in Blog, RAPTURE on September 12, 2017

I was raped by a supposed friend (someone I thought I could trust). Left in shame and shock I could not tell anyone about my ordeal. I kept it to myself and went about my normal life.

Some weeks later after I came back from a vigil I started feeling weak so I went to a nearby hospital and ran some tests. To my greatest Shock I tested positive to pregnancy.

I told the man involved who after much plea convinced me to have an abortion which will be kept a secret.

I went in for an abortion however before the procedure I asked God to forgive me for what I was about to do and in the process I died, I left my body. Still looking at the lifeless form on the abortion table, I started ascending but in a flash a force pulled me down through a dark tunnel. I could not see the beginning or the end of the walls of the tunnel. It was dark, so dark, I saw cobweb like cells on the walls and in an instant I was in HELL.

I saw a woman who had been there for over a hundred years, she was in deep pain and agony, she would melt in the flames and the magma like liquid will come back together in the form of the woman. It occurred repeatedly. I knew I was in hell.

I began to burn and burn, I felt like pulling out my hair form its roots, because the pain was unbearable. It was as if my senses where magnified over a thousand times. The agony of the burns was not enough. The scream of people under the same torment was worse, it was so loud that I felt I would go deaf but they kept resonating in my ears.
>>>>>>>Also Read this: READY FOR RAPTURE?
I began to scream, the more I screamed the weaker I got but the screams only got louder while I was getting weaker. I gnashed my teeth but no form of all these expressions made me feel better…it only got worse, beyond description. I was in deep torment.

The worse feeling was not just the pain, the noise, the screams or the pungent smell. It was the feeling of HOPELESSNESS/TOTAL DAMNATION. I WAS CONDEMNED FOREVER. I knew I was in HELL forever and ever. There was no way out. I began to cry out to God for mercy.

At a point Jesus appeared and I wept the more. I asked Him to please give me one SECOND out of hell to just scream Jesus is Lord and die again. Jesus replied, “how many seconds are in a minute, how many minutes are in an hour, how many hours are in a day, how many days are in a week, how many weeks are in a month and how many months are in a year and how many years have you lived on earth?” I have given you all the seconds in your living years yet you failed me.

I wept more and asked Him to have mercy and please give me another chance to go and tell the world about HELL. I pleaded with the Lord to give me a chance even if I return to the world without my hands or my legs at least let there be breath in my nostrils. I had a better understanding of the adage that a living dog is better than a dead lion. I even promised to tell the world of my ordeal if He delivers my soul from the torment in HELL.

He replied,’ many have gone from here to tell them, what makes you think they will believe you but I kept pleading for a second chance and as I was weeping and gnashing my teeth.

Jesus had mercy on me but warned me sternly that if I did not preach I would end up in hell. He said, ‘tell my people to stop playing games with me’. At that point I woke up in the hospital room.

At first she I scared of sharing my horrific ordeal because I was concerned about my reputation but finally opened up when I came in contact with Dominion City under Pastor David Ogbueli’s ministration.

WHAT IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY COST?

If you are reading this post that means you have a chance to make a change and reconcile with God or if you are lukewarm it’s time to stop playing games with God.

Words alone cannot tell of my torment in hell or the torment of those in hell.

HELL is not a myth, a story, OR a figment of someone’s imagination, HELL IS A REAL PLACE.

A place you would not even wish for your enemies or those who have hurt you most.
(Heb 9:27 ~ And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.)
If we recognize that all earthly things are someday going to be stripped away from us, then the craving for material possessions will matter far less to us now. We should turn away from physical indulgence, for earthly pleasure leaves no permanent gratification.
(2 Peter 3:11 ~ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness)

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE AMERICA CANNOT BE WRONG?

AMERICA CANNOT BE WRONG?

By Gideon in All of God, Blog on September 11, 2017

The influence of America and her culture on the church in Nigeria is monumental. Although Christianity did not come from America, America was as gentile as Nigeria as far as the salvation programme of God is concerned, people here have come to see America as the standard of Christianity. Any minister of God who travels to America to preach, even though to less than two dozen people, leaving the hundreds of brethren in his congregation behind is considered a big and successful minister of God.
Here we have adopted the American style of worship. Our musical instruments are American; our lyrics are American. Our ministers dress American; some even mimic popular American preachers sounding miserable in the process.
When our brothers, (Americana pastors) came back from America, they began to tell us that it no longer matter for our sisters to cover their heads in prayer meetings. Everybody (except some few “conservatives”) said yes; America cannot be wrong. Later they told us that since women wear trousers to church in America, it no longer matter for sisters here to do same. Everybody complied; America cannot be wrong! Recently, men come to church with braided hair while women come with “skin” haircut, many are in church with tattoo and men wear ear rings. We all sing, jump and shout together in church in the American way; these things do not matter because that is what they do in America and America cannot be wrong!
Now American men are marrying themselves in church and their women are doing the same. Soon American churches will be full of couples who are Mr Wood and Mr Wood married legally in the church and Mrs and Mrs Stones married together. America is always right! That is the position here!
Soon in Nigeria, shall also see Olu and Ade, two brothers in the church as couple, one in the choir and the other an usher?
I hope America will be wrong for once and something will really matter to the church in Nigeria!
>>>>>>Also Read this: Revival in the Land
Soon it will no longer matter in America for Mr Coal to marry his dog and for Miss Bush to marry her horse. Then, I hope it will matter to the church in Nigeria!
Brethren, for how long will the culture of America be the culture of the church? The “name it and claim it” faith movement came from America; also, the capitalistic Christianity where wealth is used to measure God’s approval. Where is America leading the churches in our land?
Our bishops and reverends, I hope that after your next trip to America, homosexuality will still be a sin; I hope it will still matter?
We do not need any prophet again to know that the trumpet of the home call will sound any moment from now. How ready are you?
I hope the matter of eternity still matter to you?
(If it matters to you, share this message with those that matter in your life)
Think on these things and may God give you understanding in Jesus name.

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE The Truth About Living Together Before Marriage

The Truth About Living Together Before Marriage

By Gideon in Blog, MARRIAGE on July 28, 2017

The moral slide in our culture is seen in many ways, one of which is related to the number of people who are living together without the commitment of marriage. We live in a self-centered and pleasure-oriented society. Bible standards related to righteousness and morality are falling by the wayside. More and more couples are living together apart from the marriage bond. The trend is alarming. The flippant attitudes of some who “shack up together” are startling.

There is no effort in our day for many couples to even bother trying to conceal their unmarried status. They rent apartments, check in at motels, purchase houses (with their different names signed on the contracts), and visit their parents (expecting to be accepted and given the use of the guest bedroom). Since their idea is that they will live together if they “love” each other, and will stop living together if they stop “loving” each other, they prefer not to complicate the arrangement with a marriage commitment. Many pastors and churches have given approval to the “new morality.” The end result is the proliferation of all kinds of strange living arrangements. The mindset of a permanent marriage is not in their immediate plans.

A letter written by a young woman (addressed to one of her college teachers) says she is considering a live-in relationship with a man, and states the issues very well. She writes:

My boyfriend and I are contemplating living together for one or two years before getting married. We are intelligent, moral, law-abiding citizens. We love each other deeply. We want to live together, work together—to share, to trust, and to love one another. We want to test marriage before moving blindly into it. We do not have financial means for marriage; and if we decide marriage isn’t for us, we will just separate and avoid the heavy expense of divorce. Of what value is a piece of paper—the so-called marriage license—anyway? We are religious people, church members, and do not see any moral problems. Most broad-minded people think this will be the standard life-style for the future. Some people, who refuse to accept social change, including our parents, object to our plans. Why?

Because of the kind of thinking described in the letter above, cohabitation is more and more made to seem normal, and is becoming a substitute for marriage. Yet most sources indicate that nearly half of all cohabiting couples break up before the wedding, and those live-in couples who do marry are fifty percent more likely to divorce than those who did not first live together. In addition, those who lived-in before marriage are more likely to be unfaithful to their marriage vows, and generally experience more domestic violence than those who did not cohabit earlier.

Many people believe it is wrong to even question the morality and value of living together before marriage. It is becoming more and more acceptable in our society for young men and women to “try it out” before committing themselves to a life-long relationship. What are the moral implications involved in “live-in” relationships?

Living together really is not a good preparation for marriage. One secular book on marriage states that couples who lived together before marriage have significantly lower marital satisfaction than those who did not cohabit before the wedding. It is important to note that during the same time period in which living together before marriage has become acceptable, the rate of divorce has skyrocketed. Living together apparently has not helped to cement relationships.

Craig Alan Myers has said, “Couples engaged in fornication, and wanting to be married in the church or by the minister, should be asked to repent of their sin and refrain from those practices before a church wedding takes place … .
Further, Christians ought to be taught the Scriptural truth that their bodies (and their sexuality) do not belong to themselves but to God. Fornication and other sexual sins are acts that God roundly condemns and will judge. The Bible flatly says, “Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [male prostitutes], nor abusers of themselves with mankind [sodomites], nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
However, the good news is that God will forgive those sins and heal them, when the sinner is penitent. The very next sentence in the Scripture above says, “And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11).
There is forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Christ for the repentant sinner!” (Myers, Craig Alan, “On Living Together Before Marriage,” BRF Witness, Volume 30, Number 5, September/October 1995.)

There are a number of social reasons for the rising practice of pre-marital cohabitation:

1) A general breakdown of personal morality.
2) The changing sexual values in society.
3) Extended adolescence and later marriages.
4) The availability of more effective methods of contraception.
5) Tax laws which sometimes make marriage a disadvantage financially.

The primary factor, however, is related to the general human rebellion against the laws of God.

Committed Christians believe that sharing bed, breakfast, and bills (apart from a marriage bond) is a violation of the will of God. To the hundreds who are asking, “What’s wrong with living together before marriage, anyway?”—we offer the following paragraphs as a Christian response.

1. Living together as husband and wife without being legally married is fornication.

Fornication is defined narrowly as “sexual intercourse between unmarried persons,” but sometimes it broadens to include all forms of sexual immorality. It is a sin which God will judge. The Bible states clearly (as quoted above) that fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, and robbers—will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). And again, God’s Word says that marriage is to be held in honour by all, and the marriage bed be kept undefiled—for God will judge fornicators and adulterers (Hebrews 13:4). It is a sobering thought that “every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12).

2. God designed sex to be enjoyed by one man and one woman within the permanent shelter of total commitment to each other in marriage.

Any deviation from this model is a violation of God’s Law with some serious consequences. Jesus speaks of a woman who was living with a man who was not her husband (John 4:17-18) as a case of unmarried cohabitation. When Jesus spoke of her private life she quickly changed the subject. Jesus did not regard cohabitation and marriage as being equivalent in meaning. The lesson of history is that any civilization that turns from the commandments of God, and lavishly devotes itself to carnal pleasure, cannot long endure.

3. The bodies of Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are not to grieve Him by wrong conduct.

Because of this principle, Christians cannot do exactly as they please. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 speaks clearly about what that means. We are to know that our bodies are dwelling places of the Holy Spirit who lives within, and that we are not our own, for we were bought with a price—and therefore believers are to glorify God in their bodies. God says that the proper place for the sexual relationship is within the bonds of honorable marriage. To engage in fornication is immoral; it is a sin against the Holy Spirit who dwells in the believer’s body.

4. Sex without the binding commitment of marriage cheapens oneself and the other person involved.

Love without commitment is not really love at all, but rather it is lust. Marriage alone provides the security from the fear of being used, and seduced, and then abandoned.

Why is marriage so important? Why do we need to receive the church’s blessing and be registered by the state? Why do we encourage couples to save the sexual relationship for marriage? In order for a relationship between a man and woman to continue over the years, both partners must give each other their word completely. That is one of the reasons for a public wedding. Both need the support of the community.

Walter Trobisch in his little book entitled, I Married You, describes the three aspects of a normal marriage:

1) The legal or public ceremony.
2) The personal act of consent and commitment.
3) The physical sexual union. (The sex act alone does not constitute marriage, for if that were true, there would be no such thing as fornication, because as soon as individuals engaged in the act, they would be married.)

>>>>>>>>>>>Also Read This: The Tragedy of Divorce and Remarriage

Marriage is a public vow which makes the commitment more difficult to break. We treat marriage as a public contract, so that we will be reminded in our darker days, and during our times of temptation, of the importance of our obligation to love and cherish and nurture our chosen spouse with genuine care, even if there are difficult days.

Out of fear of losing her boyfriend, a young girl may decide to give in and have sex with him. In the end, she often loses him anyway—and then she feels used and humiliated. Many teenagers fall into the trap of “sex or else.” The boy says, “if you loved me, you would become intimate with me.” But when the girl gives in and consents to having sex, she often ends up getting dumped and is badly hurt. The fact is that if he really loved and cared for her, he wouldn’t ask her to yield to his sensual feelings.

5. Violations of God’s standards of morality carry consequences which follow later in life.

Some of the many consequences of cohabitation and fornication are misplaced trust, unplanned pregnancy, venereal disease, and the negative Christian witness which the cohabiting lifestyle presents to the world. The few moments of ecstasy experienced in an illicit affair will be greatly outweighed by the hours of remorse that come from disobeying God.

Sex outside of marriage always does some kind of damage. It leaves some people grieving because they can no longer claim virginity. Others carry dark secrets about things they did in the past. Some are afraid of getting pregnant, or getting a venereal disease, including AIDS.

Another consequence of cohabitation is the greater likelihood of divorce if the couple later decides to marry. The National Survey of Families and Households found that couples who cohabit before marriage are 50% more likely to divorce. The same survey also found that unmarried couples living together are twice as likely to be unhappy later on in their relationship, than are those who are duly married. One writer says that cohabitation is not preparation for marriage; instead, it is training for divorce. One study found that “cohabiting couples show higher levels of aggression than either daters or married people” (Time magazine, September 5, 1988).

People who move in before making a marriage commitment are people who have not learned to practice delayed gratification. They want the benefits of a solid relationship before investing the time and effort to build a solid relationship. Later, when the road gets rocky, these folks won’t invest the time and effort to sustain the relationship either. One writer says, “Having sex too soon, moving in without commitment …, are the behaviours of basically immature, let-me-feel-good-now . . . people” (from “Ten Stupid Things Women do to Mess up their Lives” by Laura C. Schlessinger ©1994).

Those who urge a period of unmarried cohabitation in order to test the sincerity and durability of their love overlook a common characteristic of human nature. It is the sense of being bound that helps love to become stabilized. The couple that is firmly committed to the principle of lifelong togetherness, has a much greater chance of experiencing a genuine lasting relationship, than the couple who regards their domestic habitation as being subject to termination.

6. Living together before marriage is an offence against God’s Law and is an injustice to one’s partner.

God’s original command in creation was that male and female should “cleave” (or “cling”) to one another in covenantal partnership, that is, in marriage (Genesis 2:24). A man shall leave father and mother, and become united to his wife, and they two shall become one flesh.

Our objection to living together before marriage is based upon the Biblical teaching that sexual activity outside of marriage is an offence against God’s Law. We are told in Ephesians 5:3 that there must not even be a hint of sexual immorality among God’s people.

The Bible has no direct teaching on what should be involved in a marriage ceremony, nor does it tell how the ceremony should be conducted to make it a valid transaction. However, marriage has always been a public event. There has always been a specific point at which persons were recognized as being married. The Bible has specific regulations about the sins of adultery and fornication. It is assumed that the community will know who is married and who is not married. Marriage is not a private affair. It takes place within the community. And the Christian is a member of a special community—the Body of Christ. Our entire life (including our role in marriage) is lived out as a member of this special community. In the wedding ceremony, the couple makes pledges in the presence of family, friends, the church, the state, and God. When this commitment has been expressed, then the man and woman are ready for physical consummation. This pattern is in harmony with the teaching found in God’s Word.

A public marriage ceremony demonstrates that we are to take seriously our responsibility to a larger society—including our friends, family, neighbours, and fellow Christians. We do not live to ourselves. We live as members of a community whose approval is important, whose love is desired, and whose reputation is esteemed. A marriage which occurs under God, before an audience, and ratified by the laws of the state is a strong statement of intention. It says that the couple intends to worship God, to contribute to the welfare of the community, and to put the commitment to persevere in the marriage on public record.

The marriage bond bestows meaning upon the couple’s sexual activity as expressed in the phrase “one flesh.” It highlights the complete interchange of the two selves, as in the bride’s delightful statement in the Song of Solomon, “My beloved is mine and I am his” (Song of Solomon 2:16). Marriage confirms the mutual commitment and bonding of a man and woman by specifying and guarding certain expectations and responsibilities. In cohabitation, by way of contrast, there is mutual exploitation within the possibility of potential flight. And that does not tend to promote strong and lasting relationships.

A Hallmark card says, “I can’t promise you forever, but I can promise you today.” This is one of the newest love cards for the current generations no commitments- just warm fuzzy feelings. And then when the mood changes and the fuzzies are gone, the earlier “love” and “respect” begin to fade. Living together before marriage is not an effective way to test the compatibility of potential marriage partners. Living together without marriage usually does more emotional harm than good. Total commitment is what makes a lasting and good marriage. Yet commitment is what cohabiting couples are purposely avoiding. Couples who mate before they are mates, tend to rely on sexual intimacy to keep them together. Strong human relationships require more than that. Couples who share the same roof before the public marriage ceremony often build a shaky foundation for their life together.

Our churches need to call for a renewed commitment to chastity and to the sacredness of sex within marriage. Kevin Ray, in Disciple Renewal, says, “There is a powerful movement today to ignore the clear teaching of Scripture regarding human sexuality. This problem is pervasive. In our society, living together outside of marriage is now acceptable. Divorce is viewed as an easy alternative to the struggle of making a marriage work. Children are being taught in our public schools that sexual activity is acceptable as long as it is done ‘safely.’ Homosexual behaviour is being promoted as normal human sexual expression. The perversion of biblical teaching regarding human sexuality threatens to undermine society and is bringing great division to the church of Jesus Christ. On the issue of human sexuality, we have abandoned the God-given standard, and are therefore in danger of incurring God’s wrath. This is a point where the church must be called to faithfulness.”

The church needs to reach out to those who are suffering the devastating effects of venereal diseases, and make their days as pain-free as possible by offering the peace which Christ brings to those who embrace Him—but we must also teach abstinence from sexual encounters outside of the true and honourable marriage bond. Christians must repudiate the “new morality.”

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE My Passion Before I Die!

My Passion Before I Die!

By Gideon in Blog, Faith and Work, Ministry on May 16, 2017

Jesus Christ said in his declaration with the urgency of saving souls, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4”
John Knox prayed: “Lord, Give me Scotland or I die”…

St Patrick, a rugged believer that Brought even dead animals and trees back to life prayed: “God, Give me souls or give me nothing else”….

Brethren during the Hebrides revival prayed:” Lord, If you will not use us, please, kill us”…

The brethren from England who brought the Fire from Azusa Street revival
gathered everyday under the terrible cold.
Their only prayer topic was: “Lord, give us men that will spread Your Fire in the streets of England”.

During the Indonesia Revival, those hungry hearts were seen praying day and night: “Lord, The harvest is ripe… If it pleases You, please use us”.

One prayer that was common during the days of
William Seymour was: “Lord, this is another day that hell must lose men and women. Please, we are here use us”.

Paul Apostle said:” Woe is me if I preach not the gospel”

Rachel said to her husband, Jacob: “Give me children or I die”

But unfortunately, our churches are filled today
with people who are not ashamed of spiritual barrenness.
We are asking “God give me money. God give me spouse.
God give me visa”.
Where do we see believers again that will be praying and fasting, and when you listen to them, you will be hearing:” Lord, let Your Fire fall in my community and let their be revival”?

When Paul encountered Christ, he fell and rose. What He asked was:” Lord, what will You have me do”.
But today, when we fall under anointing, we stand to start expecting marriage proposals and visas and employment letters.
This generation of members in our churches have not had a genuine encounter with the Man of Calvary.
No generation has carried Bibles like us without opening it.
No generation is materially driven like ours and we expect the land to obey us.

Jesus said, pray to the Father that He brings His Kingdom on earth.
GOD help us to get it on time. Amen.

Let’s build up our spiritual life because its very necessary.

If u miss heaven u can never miss hell. Think about it. Hell isn’t a pretty place.

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE 7 Questions for Young Pastors!

7 Questions for Young Pastors!

By Gideon in Blog, Spirituality on January 16, 2017

To all the young and upcoming Pastors, I have come up with this blog because of the current rate at which the Church is growing and most importantly the readiness for the coming of the lord.
Secondly, my well over two decades of pastoral and leadership experience prompted me to help in re-positioning ministers in all totality for the ministry and effectiveness.
Therefore, the questions I raised here will always be begging for faithful answers if you must choose the path of success in this high calling of God.

1. What are your Motives before you enter into the ministry?
If your motive is wrong, that is, either out- rightly or stylishly opposite to God’s kingdom vision of salvation of mankind, then you are already in a journey of fruitless and regression.
There is no way to think or move wrongly and end rightly. I wish to sound a note of warning here, that God does or will not applaud your fame and success in the ministry, but only want to celebrate your faithfulness and righteous life.
Getting your motives wright will afford you of getting the ministry in right direction.

2. Who is your Mentor? Carefully and spiritually choosing your mentor in the ministry is either to assassinate or robustly affect your ministerial destiny. Have you ever heard of this “like Father like son” so what type of mentor do you have, what his or her secret life, is it full and controlled by materialism or humility and genuine passion for gospel? You will need to always run an acid test on your mentor as to life style and frequent message, are they centered on holiness and coming of the lord…..I will also implore you to use God’s wisdom to settle the rest, because sometimes God will not even talk to you about your mentor at all which will eventually determine your entire life and ministry.

3. Who are your Friends in the ministry?
Choosing friends that are also ministers at the beginning, middle or towards your old age is purely your own decision and also at your own risk. Because it can affect you and your ministry positively or negatively, although, you can’t be an island, you will need to relate and friendship with fellow ministers, but the quality, bible standard and godly type is strictly your choice.
Be therefore quick to learn the lesson of life from relationship of king Jehoshaphat with Ahab.

4. What are your Favorite Books?
Reading books is like furthering or advancing your academic with different types of lecturers. Therefore the type of book you devoted your life for may determine your type of passion in the ministry.
If God truly called you, you will have your own blue print and not to be easily manipulated by every book you stumble upon.
God wants us to be different to others in carrying out his order without compromise.
Be strong enough to accept or reject any book regardless of author considering your faithfulness and godly life as more paramount.

5. Is your Marriage healthy for the ministry?
This is where pretense is useless and don’t ever try one. If your marriage is not good, there is no adjustment that will work in the ministry. Your success in the ministry will start with the success in your marriage. People want to see the evidence of your calling from your marriage first before the pew.
WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE 7 Questions for Young Pastors!
6. How Rooted are you in the word?
Believe it or not, you will only give what you have. The measure of the word of God combined with Spirit filling will go a long way in your daily overcoming life with sin, Satan and flesh.
Your richness in the word of God and Spirit will produce Bible pattern Church and rapturable saint.Read Ephesians 3:17-19; Colossians 2:7.

7. Is your passion’s wright?
Every failure is a product of wrong passion and also a successful adventure, business is linked to a positive and wright passion, this is also applicable to ministerial calling and the type has to be godly with heavenly pursuit. The people around you must grow from your passion for righteousness, faithfulness and sacrificial life as you relentlessly winning souls and edify the Church for Jesus at rapture.
The passion to satisfy God daily in your both christian and ministerial life is non negotiable if you must end your journey well with God.
You are blessed in Jesus name.- Dr G O Oyedepo

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE 5 Things in Your Relationship

5 Things in Your Relationship

By Gideon in Blog, MARRIAGE on November 14, 2016

I have learned so much being in the marital relationship and I’d like to share a few things to be on the lookout for in your relationship.

1. Less comparing, more considering.

It’s an awesome idea to aspire to have a successful relationship like those around you, however it is critical that you do not fix your mind to think that your relationship has to be EXACTLY like your peers to be great. What works for one couple may or may not work for your relationship. So instead of trying to mold your relationship into an exact replica of someone else’s, consider the one you’re with. Think about your significant other’s personality, needs, and desires and figure out what works best for YOU.

2. There’s only ONE you.
There are no two people on this entire earth that are exactly the same. With that in mind, understand that no matter how similar you and your significant other may be you are STILL two different people. You will NOT always agree on things or have the same understanding on things simply because you are DIFFERENT.

3. Expect to LEARN.
Each experience you share with your fiance/spouse is NEW. Even if some things seem familiar it is still new because there’s no one else like your significant other. Their thoughts, actions, and reactions are theirs alone so you are bound to learn something new.

4. Remember.
Reminisce on what got you to the decision of committing yourself to your significant other. Think back and talk about how you all began as well as your desires for a relationship before you were in one. Remembering will keep you in mind of where you want to go.

5. God: Head, front, and center.
Pray, fast, read and discuss scripture together as well as individually. Disagreements, and uncomfortable moments will be WORLDS easier when you keep Jesus (and His word) before you, as well as making those good things even sweeter.-Please SHARE!

WORD-AFLAME LEADERSHIP COLLEGE Becoming a More Productive Pastor

Becoming a More Productive Pastor

By Gideon in Blog, Faith and Work on November 7, 2016

Ten Tips to Becoming a More Productive Pastor

The work of pastoral ministry is a joy, but it’s also demanding. Every pastor is on call 24/7. Expectations of members are high and sometimes unreasonable.

Pastors are thus expected to “run the race” constantly. But how can a pastor keep the pace in this marathon of ministry without burning out? How can a pastor remain productive with such demands? Allow me to offer ten tips to becoming a more productive pastor.

1. Be spiritually disciplined.

Pastor, you cannot lead God’s people spiritually if you are spiritually depleted. Find a time to pray and to read God’s Word every day. Don’t let it become an afterthought. Pick a time of day and stick with it. For some of you, it’s first thing in the morning. For me, it’s the quiet of late evening.

2. Pray for the day ahead.
There is obvious overlap between the first two, but I want to remind pastors to pray about three specific things before you begin the day. First, pray for God’s wisdom for all the conversations and situations you will be facing. Second, pray for His grace. You will hear from critics and high maintenance people. It’s not always easy to be gracious to some. Third, pray for opportunities to show and share the love of Christ during the day. I am always amazed how He answers that prayer in my life.

3. Be physically disciplined.
As you set aside a time of the day for spiritual discipline, also set aside a time of day for physical discipline. You may think you don’t have time to do both. You can’t afford to neglect either. I love the advantages of technology. My iPad, headphones, and treadmill are daily companions.

4. Make appointments for sermon preparation.
How long does it take you to prepare a sermon? Take that time plus one hour and put it on your calendar each week. Don’t try to do sermon preparation in the margins of your life; it’s too important to minimize. You may not always get to keep those appointments, but you have a better chance if they are on your calendar.

5. Set a priority.
Determine one to three priorities you will accomplish for the day. If possible, don’t take on any other tasks until those items are completed.

6. Get sufficient sleep.

Hard workers often like to brag about how much they work and how little sleep they get. If their lack of sleep is a reality, they are becoming less productive and unhealthier. Sleep is not a luxury; it is a gift of rest and recovery given directly from God.

7. Make appointments on your calendar for strategic vision.
Perhaps once a month set aside a day to get away by yourself, pray, seek God’s face, and dream about the future of the church. Take notes that day, either electronically or on paper.

8. Laugh and have fun.
Sometimes I have a bad attitude about my work and ministry and say I have to do something. My attitude should be that, by the grace of God, I get to do His work. We who are in vocational ministry often need to lighten up and laugh more. Not all ministry could be described as “fun,” but much of it is if we have the right attitude.

9. Have a right attitude.
Speaking of attitudes, productive pastors rejoice more. They learn greater gratitude. They see setbacks as temporary and opportunities as never ending. They see themselves as co-laborers with God Himself.

10. Work hard; rest intentionally.
There are a few pastors who need to improve their work ethics. Are you truly laboring for God? But there are more pastors who need to rest and relax more. You are not omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. -by  Dr. Thom Rainer, President & CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources.
